With a 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-12) sweep of Prairie View A&M, Alabama A&M is heading to the championship match this evening to face Grambling State. After falling to PVAM 3-2 this morning, the Bulldogs recouped and ensured its run for a third straight conference title. The Bulldogs were led by Madinah Abdullah with 12 kills. Libero of the Year, Rose Corneille, also contributed 11 kills in the win. Eight players, including Sapphire Reid, Sharonda Marshall, and Cheri Lindsay, finished with eight kills for the Lady Panthers, who were eliminated from the tournament with the loss. Alabama A&M and Grambling State will face off in the championship match at 7 p.m. (CT). The match will air live on ESPNU.
