2009 Freshman of the Year Clarissa Moore amassed 17 kills as Alabama A&M defeated Southern 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-13) to advance in the winner’s bracket to take on Prairie View A&M at 7 p.m.

All-SWAC setter Natalie Rodriguez had 37 assists while Libero of Year Rose Corneille posted 13 digs for the Bulldogs.

LaCreesha Allan was the high-woman for the Lady Jaguars, posting nine kills in the match. All-Western outside hitter Candace Southall added 12 digs for SU.

The Lady Jaguars will face Mississippi Valley State in the loser’s bracket this afternoon.
