Former men's basketball point-guard Obie Trotter was named the SWAC's Player of the Decade by Rivals.com. Trotter finished his playing career in 2006 as one of the most decorated student-athletes to ever wear the maroon and white, in any sport. He averaged 15.1 points over his four-year career, and was a two-time All-America selection. Trotter led the country in steals during the 2004-05 season.

Box Score / Cornelius Hester finished with a team-high 23 points - including 21 points in the second half - as the Alabama A&M men's basketball team second-half comeback fell short against Jackson State, 70-64. The Bulldogs only scored 19 first half points, but outscored the Tigers 45-30 in the second half. Jonathan Inman tallied 11 points, including 7-for-8 at the stripe to lead all bench scorers. Maurice Kemp and Casey Cantey finished with 10 points apiece on the night. The Bulldogs are back in action on Sat. March 6 when they host Grambling beginning 6 p.m.

The Alabama A&M men's basketball team fell to the Tigers of Texas Southern, 98-57 on Mon. March 1 in Houston, Tex. Bo Amusa led the A&M offense with 12 points and four rebounds. Maurice Kemp and Cornelius Hester both had nine apiece. With the loss, A&M falls to 10-14 overall, and 7-4 in the SWAC. The Bulldogs are back in action on Thurs. March 4 at home versus Jackson State beginning at 7:30 p.m.

PRAIRIE VIEW, TX / Box Score - Bo Amusa tallied a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds in 53-62 loss to Prairie View on Sat. Feb. 27. Evan Hilton chipped in with nine points. As a team, the Bulldogs were held to a stifling 25.4 percent shooting clip. The loss drops A&M to 7-8 in the SWAC. The Bulldogs are back in action on Mon. March 1 at Texas Southern beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Box Score / Bo Amusa scored a career-high 17 points to lead the Alabama A&M men's basketball team past Alcorn State, 72-60 on ESPNU. Amusa also had eight-boards two blocks, and two steals. Maurice Kemp tallied his first double-double of his career with 10 points and 11 boards. Cornelius Hester had 11 points and pulled down nine off the glass in 26 minutes of action. Evan Hilton chipped in with 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field. The win improves the Bulldogs to 10-12 on the year and 7-7 in the SWAC. A&M will travel to face Prairie View on Sat. Feb. 27 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Box Score / The Alabama A&M men's basketball team cruised to a 65-54 win over Southern University at Elmore Gym on Sat. Feb. 20. Three players placed in double figures with Cornelius Hester leading the way with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field. Bo Amusa tallied 14 points, four rebounds, and two blocks in 31 minutes of action. Adam Young had a solid performance with 10 points and six rebounds. A&M sweeps the season series with Southern. The win improves the team to 6-7 in conference play. The Bulldogs are back in action on Monday when they host Alcorn for an 8 p.m. tip. The game is scheduled to air live on ESPNU.

The Alabama A&M basketball teams will help to build awareness for cancer research with their annual Pink Zone celebration on Saturday, Feb. 20 vs. Southern. The A&M teams will have pink t-shirts and hand towels on sale with the proceeds going to the Kay Yow / WBCA Cancer Fund. All Bulldog fans are encouraged to wear pink as the Bulldogs take on the Jaguars. The women's game will tip at 4:00 with the men's to follow at 6:00.

Box Score / A&M was outscored 14-4 in the last four minutes to drop a 80-76 decision to Alabama State in Elmore Gym on Saturday. Casey Cantey led A&M with 18 points, including a 10-for-13 mark at the stripe. Cornelius Hester tallied 17 points and five boards in 27 minutes of action. Jabari DeShields recorded 10 points in a season-high of 32 minutes. With the loss, A&M drops to 8-12 on the season and 5-7 in the SWAC. The Bulldogs host Southern on Sat. Feb. 20 beginning at 6 p.m.
