The Alabama A&M track and field team competed in the SWAC Championships held in New Orleans, La. from April 18-20. In 21 events scored on both sides, the men picked up 20 points - good for eighth place, while the women placed ninth with 27 points.
On the men's side, Nathan Alexander was awarded six points for the Bulldogs by placing third in the pole vault - clearing 4.02m in the finals. For the women, Ronella Gollman racked up 14 total points by finishing second in the 200 meter dash (24.48) and third in the 100 meters (12.12). Dominique Rogers picked up fourth in the 400 meter hurdles finishing with a time of 63.15.
The SWAC Championships mark the completion of the season for the Bulldogs.
